Had no idea this was in production until 5 minutes ago, and based on a quick search its being directed by same director as the the 2006 film.
That movie is debatedly the best game-to-movie adaptation... followed by one of the absolute worst game-to-movie adaptation, either that or Mortal Kombat Anniahation.
So, lets hope the 3rd is of the quality of the 1st... and not the 2nd.
Its a direct adaptation of the 2nd game, which ironically getting a remake. It'll be interesting to see if the release dates are close to eachother.
